Q. Im getting a message that says my disk is full when I try to back up my Microsoft Money 98 data files. I know there is free space on my diskette, what could be wrong? A. Although there may be free space on a particular diskette that you may be trying to back up your files on, the file format for backup in Money 98 requires almost the full capacity of a diskette. When backing up your data, it is recommended that you use a blank formatted floppy disk. Q. When I try to run Microsoft Money 98 I am getting "General Protection Fault" or "Invalid Page Fault" errors. What is causing this? A. Some third party software packages such as First Aid, Norton Crash Guard, and other similar programs may cause conflicts in the way Money 98 works with your operating system. These programs may be the root cause of these errors. In order to avoid these problems you can either remove the other program from your computer or you can apply a fix that is available from Microsofts Web Site. Please refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q174917. Q. What are some of the limitations of Microsoft Money 98 in handling my transactions? A. The following limits for character fields and transactions apply to all Microsoft Money 98 accounts that you may set up.
Q. I prefer to use Netscape Navigator, or a web browser other than Microsoft Internet Explorer. I have uninstalled Internet Explorer, but now Microsoft Money 98 no longer functions properly. If you remove Internet Explorer from your computer Microsoft Money 98 will no longer function properly until you reinstall the Internet Explorer browser. Q. I have to have Microsoft Internet Explorer installed on my computer in order to use Microsoft Money 98, but I would prefer to use another browser for accessing the World Wide Web. What can I do? A. Multiple web browsing applications may be installed so you can choose which browser you wish to use for internet access. Q. I no longer wish to have Microsoft Money 98 installed on my computer.
