  1. Shutdown the computer.
  2. Power the unit on, press Del key several times to enter setup.
  3. Arrow down to Power Management and press enter twice. Disable power management (see setup menu at the bottom of screen to change settings.)
  4. Press Esc, enter on "Write to CMOS and Exit", and press Y to save changes.
  5. Boot the unit to a DOS prompt. If the unit boots to Windows exit out of Windows to a DOS prompt.
  6. Remove AC power from the unit and let unit run until battery is dead.
  7. Turn off the unit and let the battery sit until it is cool (20 – 30 minutes).
  8. Plug in the ac adapter.
  9. Let the battery charge 2-3 hours if unit is off or let the battery charge 4-6 hours if the unit is being used during the charging process.
  10. Repeat steps 5 through 9 two more times.

We recommend doing steps 1 through 10 once a month as part of your regular computer maintenance.
