Subject: Extracting the "c:\drivers" folder on the WinBook Restore CD using Logisitcs Software

  1. Shut down and power off the computer
  2. Turn on the computer and start tapping the "F2" key to enter setup
  3. Once in the Bios Setup screen, use the arrow keys to go the the Boot menu
  4. Make sure the boot sequence from top to bottom is Atapi CD-ROM Drive, Removable Devices, Hard Drive
  5. To change the order, just highlight the device and hit the minus (-) sign to move the device down
  6. Insert your WinBook Restore CD into the CD-Rom Drive now
  7. After the boot sequence is correct hit the "F10" key to save settings and exit
  8. Hit "Y" and the "enter" key to save settings
  9. At this point the computer will restart to the Restore CD
  10. Click "OK" on the warning screen
  11. You will now see three icons on the screen to restore your system
  12. Hold down the "ctl" key and the "alt" key at the same time and tap the "F10" key twice
  13. This will pull up the Selective File Recovery
  14. In the file specification box type the following line "c:\drivers\*.*"
  15. Check the box labeled "Include Subdirectories"
  16. Check the box labeled "Overwrite Existing Files"
  17. Click OK to start the selective restore
  18. After the restore is finished you will be back at the restore menu
  19. Click on "Exit to DOS"
  20. At this point you will be at a prompt that reads "A:\>"
  21. Remove the Restore CD from the CD-Rom drive and hit "ctl" "alt" "del" at the same time to reboot the computer

You have now succesfully restored the c:\drivers folder from the WinBook Restore CD!
